waterproof markers craft foam scissors hole puncher 1/4” dowel, 12” long 24 inches of yarn or string

  1. Think about the things water provides for living things and make a list. (Hint: grows food, cleans, fun to swim in, quenches thirst...)

  2. Using waterproof markers, draw a cloud for the top of your Mayim Mobile on the craft foam, then draw each item from your list.

  3. Cut out each one and punch a hole about 1/4 inch from the top. Be careful not to punch the hole too close to the edge.

  4. Tie a 5-inch piece of string to your cloud. Punch a hole in the bottom of the cloud and tie another 5-inch piece of string there. Attach the dowel to this piece of string.

  5. Tie each of the items you have made to the dowel. Vary the lengths of string to make the mobile more interesting.

  6. Hang your Mayim Mobile proudly in your sukkah or in your room. As you admire it, remember how important water is to every living thing.
