- three 11 x 17 sheets
of craft foam or construction paper:
1 green, 1 brown, 1 blue
- smaller pieces
of other assorted colors of craft foam or paper
- small photos of
your favorite people
- scissors
- glue
| 1. |
Make the tree trunks. Use half of the brown craft foam or paper
(8 1/2 x 11). Fold it in half lengthwise, |
|
| |
then
in half lengthwise again. |
| |
Draw a tree trunk
with branches on it. Make sure some of the branches reach the folds
at the sides. Cut out your trunk and branches, making sure not to
cut on the folds,so that when you unfold the foam or paper, some of
the branches will connect. |
|
| 2. |
Make the leaves
and the ground. Cut green shapes
for the leaves, and gently rolling hills for the forest floor. |
|
| 3. |
Make photo frames.
Cut out different shapes, one for each photo. You might want to make
a different shape for each person; for example, a palette shape for
an artist or an apple shape for a teacher. |
|
| 4. |
Glue the pieces
together. First glue the green onto the blue background, then the
trunks, then the photos. |
|
| 5. |
Hang your Photo
Forest in a special place, or give it to someone you like
as a gift. |
