paper plates large sheets of paper (any kind) potatoes cut in half (ask a grown up for help) paper clip (unbent to use as a stylus) tempera paint |

Cover your work surface with newspaper to protect it.
Spread the tempera paint on a paper plate.
Scratch a design into the flat, cut side of the potato with the paper clip.
Dip the potato into the paint and then stamp your designs on the large paper.
Some good designs for Hanukkah are: a dreidle, Magen David, jug of oil, and Hanukkiah.
