According to the Talmud, a shofar can be made from the horn of a sheep, goat, antelope, gazelle or ram. Ram’s horns are the most popular.
The shofar is blown for a total of 100 blasts during the Rosh Hashana service, and different words are used to call out the blasts. Use the code below to find the words that are used for each kind of shofar blast.
