• large wide-mouthed jar • paint markers • small plants • bottle cap or shell filled with water • potting soil • clean sand • small rocks

1. Using paint markers, decorate the jar. (Remember to leave enough space for light to shine in.) Suggestion: Write the words added to the Amidah during this season:
   
   "You cause the wind to blow and the rain to fall.”
   
   Let dry.
   
   
2. Fill the jar first with small rocks, then sand, then soil.
   
   
   
3. Add plants in the soil, then your shell or bottle cap of water.
   
   
4. Put the lid on the jar and place your Teva Terrarium in a sunny spot, or in a sukkah. Watch the water cycle work.
